10:52pm and it’s all over but the hot gluing.

I can only hope that the recipient is still young enough to like the ‘girlie’ colours. I (truly) spent hours assessing the ‘DARK’ Knockturn Alley theme and it just didn’t work for me. It was just a deep, dark, black hole.
The final scheme is a little bit too candy but I’m exhausted, mentally and physically. Bent over my work table since early Friday evening. Not quite 24/7 but so close it don’t make no difference.
Every colour is ‘original’. Mixed on my plastic lid palette. My six tubes of acrylic primaries are so vivid, it hurts the eyes. I didn’t realise how bright. I certainly didn’t want the alley to look like a piece of Brighton Rock.
I know I said “No lights” but I worked out a way to install them. They are not finished in the images above but all it needs is the judicious application of hot glue drops. They are held up with sticky tape and I am delighted with how effective they are. There is an external switch on a lead long enough to hide behind the box. We is well good about it.
